One Great Hour of Sharing Offering
One Great Hour of Sharing® is one of four special mission offerings of the United Church of Christ. This Lenten Offering supports the disaster, refugee, and development ministries of the United Church of Christ within Wider Church Ministries.  When you give to One Great Hour of Sharing, you deploy resources to people in need all around the world, and in our own communities.  When man-made or natural disasters strike, love responds.  Not just for the immediate future, but for the long haul.  When you give to One Great Hour of sharing, you are working alongside families to restore not only structures, but hope.  Your giving ensures that no matter how difficult the situation, Love remains.  We will be taking this offering starting this Sunday, March 27 through Easter.

Helping Ukraine
The First Russian Baptist Church at 211 Mosher Road in Gorham is holding a special Russian dinner on this Saturday at 6 pm to raise funds for Ukraine’s children.  It is a wonder event, focusing on the needs of vulnerable children in the regions of Belarus, etc.  Last year they had entertainment after the meal, a dessert raffle (wwwowww!) and a regular raffle of gift cards and services. If you haven’t contributed to the crisis in Ukraine and would like to, this is a great opportunity. The meal may include pelmeni (meat dumplings), borsch, a rice and beef dish, various potato dishes and something like meatballs (tefteli). Salads, and a dessert table. It is a buffet style meal. The price for the meal was a free will offering last year .

Looking for a New Home
This solid oak desk is yours for the taking!  It was my Dad’s but not an antique or family heirloom.  He obtained it when the plant he worked in were getting rid of it. It is currently in my office at church.  No one in my family wants it – we are all downsizing!  Pastor Nancy–
