Prayer Service Tonight
Tonight, Wednesday, at 6pm we will hold a prayer service. Praying for the families of the victims of recent killings in our country. Praying for guidance and wisdom and peace. Praying for our country and our world. Praying for us all.
We will be helping to serve lunch at Preble Street on Friday December 15th. Join us if you can. I know this is a workday for some but there are no Saturdays available between now and Christmas. Please stay tuned for and additional opportunity to serve on a Saturday in the New Year! Pastor Nancy
Fall Church Cleanup has been set for Saturday, November 11 beginning at 9:00 am until we are done. It is time to rake leaves, put on storm windows, and do all the things we do to button up the church for the winter. Please join us.

IMPORTANT! FAIR WORKERS MEETING
Yikes! The time has flown by and we are just a little more than a week away, so there will be a meeting for all folks – table chairs especially – interested in working on the fair on Saturday, November 11 at 9:00 am. The date of the fair is Saturday, November 18 from 9:00-2:00. Please drop in for this short meeting if you are interested in helping out. If you are interested but can’t attend, please contact Kathy Whittier at 254-7509 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
The Christmas Fair folks are looking for gently used jewelry for the jewelry table. If you have some jewelry that you no longer wear would you consider donating it to the Women’s Fellowship/Tuesday Gals for the fair?! You can give it to a Tuesday Gal or bring it into the office and Lyn will make sure that they get it. Thank you!
Do you have a craft where you create an item that might draw some nice bids at the Fair’s Silent Auction? Pat Field’s wooden crèche figures come to mind. Do you own/work at a business that might donate a Gift Card? Please think of a good donation that would draw interest (and bids) to the Silent Auction tables at the Christmas Fair. Many of our regulars enjoy bidding on new, fresh items and gift cards; sometimes a bidding war even breaks out!
Please contact Pam Ames at 829-5708 or email@example.com if you’d like to discuss a possible donation.
Carol’s Cookie Walk
We are looking for cookies for Carol’s Cookie Walk at our Christmas Fair. Kristen Berube, Sue’s daughter, made 350 beautiful cookies at recent fairs. (thank you Kris!) Kristen has moved to Massachusetts so we have a BIG void to fill. We are reaching out to our usual bakers and we ask that others consider making 2 dozen cookies or more. Please let Sue Berube SueBerube@maine.rr.com know if you can bake and share your scrumptious creations! Thank you!
Chicken Pie Sales
We are still taking orders for the Chicken Pie Sale to be held on Friday, February 9 from 2:00-5:00 pm. There are only 38 pies and 51 gravy still available, so if you haven’t ordered your pie and wish to, do it soon! The cost of a 10 inch pie will be $18 and a pint of gravy will be $5. You can order by replying to this email, calling the office at 829-3644 or if you are at the church fill out the order sheet on the office desk.
The Wired Word
Christians respond to what’s in the news – a discussion group for adults led by Sandra Golonka. Are you often in a quandary about how people of faith should respond to what’s going on in the world around us? Join us every Sunday morning beginning on October 1 from 8:30 to 9:15 am in the fellowship hall for a lively discussion of something from the news the past week and how Christians we might think about it and respond to it.
A Note from the Nominating Committee
We have openings on all of our committees at this time. Please think it over and let us know if you are interested in a position on one of our committees. If you have any questions, we would be glad to answer them for you. Thank you, Pat Field, Pam Ames and Butch Goff.
Coffee, Games and Conversation
Tuesdays 12:30-2:30 pm in the fellowship hall. As part of the Living Well in North Yarmouth initiative, join your friends and neighbors for a favorite game, conversation and light refreshments. Come as you are and as often as you are able – you are welcome here!
COFFEE HOUR THIS FALL
We are still looking for two volunteers to host the Coffee Hour following Church Service for the months of November and December.
You can sign up for one week, two weeks, three weeks or for the month.
Weeks need not be consecutive.
Please contact Pat Field (846-3049/patrf1@myfairpoint) or Susan Elliott (firstname.lastname@example.org) to sign up.
Thank you. Pat and Susan
