The next Friday Lunch will be held on August 4 from 11:30-1:00 pm. It is a buffet style lunch which includes: Haddock chowder, chicken salad special, biscuits, beverages, and desserts. Donations are appreciated and will go toward the church’s work.
Guest Minister for 8/6 and 8/13
Rev. Deborah Loomis Lafond is a retired UCC pastor who served MA churches in a variety of ministries for 36 years. She loved working in Christian religious education ministries with children and adults, as a CE consultant, as an intentional interim/revitalization minister, and as a settled pastor in Princeton, Marlborough and most recently Barre, MA. She was active as an association and state conference volunteer and involved with a variety of leadership endeavors. In July 2016, she and her husband of 45 years, Arthur, retired to Deborah’s parents’ home on Little Sebago Lake. They have been in the process of renovating the house and unpacking to become truly settled Maine residents! Their three adult children live in Falmouth, ME, Andover, MA, and Denver, Colorado. They have two grandchildren and a shy aged cat named Fiona.
LWNY is sponsoring an informational meeting on Sunday, August 6 at 2:00 pm in the Town office meeting room for townspeople to learn more about warrant articles to be voted on at the Special Town Meeting which is to be held on August 8th at 6:30 pm. This informational meeting is for those who were unable to attend the July 18th public hearing on these articles. If anyone who would like to attend this informational meeting needs a ride call 829-6230 and leave a message.
Tuesday Gals Christmas Raffle Baskets
We have added a new collection box for another raffle basket for July. It is called Mainly Maine. This basket will include all things made in Maine or are about Maine such as Jams and Jellies, B&M baked beans or brown bread. Any and all food items made in Maine. Décor of Maine, books, place mats, napkins, pot holders, table clothes. All ideas and donations are welcome. The list of items needed is on the poster board above the collection box for donated items which we need badly. Thank you all for you help!

Paper towels and or toilet tissue are on the list for the food pantry for August. The shopper wanted to let you know how wonderful it was that we are collecting these items, as it makes it easier for her when she shops for the pantry.
