Service of Prayers
There will be a service of prayers for the victims of Orlando tomorrow night, Thursday, June 16 at 7:00 pm here in the sanctuary.

Strawberry Festival
The 22nd annual Strawberry Festival will take place on Saturday, June 18 from 1:00-3:00 pm. We are asking for volunteers to help with prep the evening before, during the festival and cleaning up. Please check your June newsletter for more information or contact Leah Davis at 829-6266 or mamad115@hotmail.com. Please sign up to make a pie or 2. You will find the recipes below. For all you jammers out there we also need jam.
Here are the particulars:
1. Berries and rhubarb for pies and jam will be available at church on Thursday, June 16, between 5 and 6 pm.

2. Pie plates and pie boxes can be picked up at the same time as berries.

3. Pies and jam can be dropped off at the church the evening before or the day of the festival.

4. Please mark on the box if it is just a Strawberry Pie or if it is a Strawberry Rhubarb Pie.

Pie Recipes
Thank you for baking a pie or pies for the Strawberry Festival. We are including recipes for your use or you may have a favorite of your own. We would appreciate two-crust or lattice-top baked pies. Please, no refrigerated pies. Label the pie box’s with an [S] for strawberry or {SR} for strawberry rhubarb.

Strawberry Pie
Bake at 350, 1 hr. until golden brown
1 quart strawberries
Mix together and sprinkle over fruit:
3/4 cup sugar
4 Tbls. Flour
Pastry for a 2-crust pie

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
Bake at 350, 1 hr. until golden brown
2 cups strawberries
2 cups rhubarb
Mix together and sprinkle over fruit:
1 1/3 cups sugar
1/3 cup flour
Butter top of mixture
Pastry for a 2- crust pie

Memorial Service
A service will be held for Rev. Nancy’s mother Barbara on Tuesday, July 5th at 10:00 am at the Elijah Kellogg Congregational Church in Harpswell.

Greetings to all of you,

What a nice cool spring we are having. I hope you all have had a chance to be out enjoying it.
Traffic continues to be steady at the pantry. We seem to be serving about 35-40 families a week. Now that summer is almost here donations tend to slow down so your help will be invaluable.

Need list

jam/jelly
baked beans
soups – beef, chowders
boxed mac and cheese
Hamburger Helper
coffee
toothpaste
ketchup
mayonnaise
mustard
salad dressing
spaghettios
canned fruit
personal hygiene items
household cleaners

It is not a long list, but the list reflects those items most commonly requested.
Thank you for you continued help and support.

We continue to be thankful for all your support and donations. It truly is a community pantry.
Donations may be dropped off at the church and will be taken to the pantry. Thank you.
