Lion’s Club Supper
The last Lions Club Supper! This coming Monday we will be serving “a lot of Lion’s” and their guests…..it is Senior Recognition Night and the students and their families join the regulars. I’m guessing there will be between 40 and 50 diners. We will be serving lasangua, ( I know ) salad, garlic bread and dessert. I need a quite a crew to work this one !!! Trudy and Bud are going to help ! If the regulars are there we should be in great shape. Thanks , Jeanne

On May 1st 1:30-3:00 pm Missions is holding a fundraiser in conjunction with Wilbur’s Chocolates. For $20.00 you can sample all the chocolates you want. You will be given a bag to take some of your favorites home. This will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Bring family and friends. This is sure to be a good time. Tickets are being sold by members of the missions committee and they can be purchased at the door.

Old Fashioned Rummage and Tag Sale

Women’s Fellowship/Tuesday Gals are sponsoring an Old Fashioned Rummage and Tag Sale on Saturday, April 30, 9:00-1:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We are accepting clean, undamaged, salable items such as: Clothing, shoes, books, dishes, knickknacks, housewares, linens, antiques, tools and complete games or puzzles. Please NO electronics, old phones, old small appliances or computers. WE NEED MORE CLOTHES!! Please have all your items dropped off by April 26. If you have any questions please contact Kathy Whittier at 829-3905.

A couple of “ooops” we can work on. The calendar in back of Lyn’s desk for one. Lyn really should be the only person to actually put data on it. We can leave the information on the AA’s desk and she will properly get it on the paper copy. Because we are rather busy with events or folks using the spaces, we need to be organized !!! The second situation is the bulletin board in Gathering Place. Recently it was almost impossible to make much sense out of anything because the board was on total overload. Again Lyn should be the one to put up the material……and once again she is so able and willing to do the jobs. Leave it on her desk and magically it will appear in the best place.

Still Collecting Bottles!

Hi everyone! Through the South Portland Congregational Church’s youth group, Josh Brobst will be going to the UCC National Youth Event to be held in July. Josh is planning on -and looking forward to – sharing his experience with the church and what he learned about his faith, social justice, and church youth leadership. He, along with others, has been working hard to raise money. One of the things he has been doing is collecting returnables for money. He is wondering if anyone would have any bottles they would be willing to donate to his fundraising efforts. If so, you can call his Mom at 440-0494 or email her brobstsara@gmail.com and she will arrange to pick up the bottles. Thank you.

We have a good stock of the most popular Rada items still available for purchase in a basket in the office. If you are interested in items that we do not have, please check out the catalog — we can order items when we have sold enough to restock. Payment may be put in the Women’s Fellowship box. Checks may be written out to NYCC/WF. This will be an ongoing fundraiser for Women’s Fellowship/Tuesday Gals. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Whittier.
