Ash Wednesday Services
There will be two Ash Wednesday services TODAY. 12 noon – Imposition of Ashes and 6:00 pm- Pancake supper and intergenerational Family Service.
Help with Pancake supper TONIGHT
We are looking for helpers to help set up for the pancake supper which starts at 6. We would need you here at 5:30pm (tables, chairs, etc.) Everyone will be helping to clean up. Jeanne and hopefully a helper will be making the pancakes.
WE ARE WORKING BUILDING CHICKEN PIES!
WE HAVE MADE THE DOUGH, TURNED THE DOUGH INTO DOUGH BALLS, ROASTED AND PICKED THE CHICKENS, AND THE GRAVY IS ON THE WAY….
HERE IS WHAT IS UP NEXT:
– February 11, Thursday: roll pie bottoms at 8:30 am
– February 12, Friday: roll pie tops at 8:30 am and assemble those yummy chicken pies to be boxed and sold from 2:00-5:30 pm.
The February 12th CHICKEN PIE SALE is a significant fund-raiser for our church, which helps us, in turn, be able to give back to the community at large…it’s a win-win! We have many enthusiastic patrons who have already ordered our delicious chicken pies and incomparable gravy.
Now we need enthusiastic volunteers who would like to be part of a fun-loving team to create 430+ chicken pies! Bring a friend along, too.
Also during that week, we’re looking for volunteers to perform other tasks, such as building the pie boxes and cutting up frozen chicken from Sysco.
Thank you in advance for blocking out the week of February 8-12. We sincerely appreciate any and all help you can give. Just the aromas in the kitchen will be enough to cheer you up during this bleak time of year…to say nothing of the fellowship we’ll all enjoy!

The office will be closed on Monday, February 15 for Presidents’ Day
From W/F Tuesday Gals
Would anyone like to do one or both Bucilla 10 x 11Santa wall decoration wall kits. These would be for the church fair.
Possibly a needle would be needed. The closed kit seems to have everything else.
We have a good stock of the most popular Rada items still available for purchase in a basket in the office. If you are interested in items that we do not have, please check out the catalog — we can order items when we have sold enough to restock. Payment may be put in the Women’s Fellowship box. Checks may be written out to NYCC/WF. This will be an ongoing fundraiser for Women’s Fellowship/Tuesday Gals. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Whittier.
Here is what we have available in the office:
Regular Paring knives
Super Paring knives
10” Bread Slicers
Pet Place Pantry Needs
Dry Dog Food

Greetings to all of you,
Good Morning to all of you
We are enjoying a nice mild winter so far. No major dumps of snow and no bitter cold temps. I am thankful.
The pantry continues to be busy. Yesterday we was not a record day but we were very busy. I am so grateful that we can help those people that need the help.
This months needs are as follows:
boxed mac and cheese
spaghetti noodles -not whole wheat
condiments – mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard
personal hygiene items
We continue to be thankful for all your support and donations. It truly is a community pantry.
Donations may be dropped off at the church and will be taken to the pantry. Thank you.
